Judging
- Our New Jersey Chapter has reciprical arrangements with other
chapters across the nation to judge their contests (similar to our
IRIS Awards). Your involvement is quick, but much appreciated. And,
you'll get a snapshot of what communicators in other parts of the
country are doing!
Programming
- Not only are we looking for your ideas for future programs, you
can also help coordinate a single event or a series of events. Whether
you are an expert in event planning, or have never done it before,
volunteering with programming is a great experience. More details
on Programming Volunteer positions.
Speaking
- Whether you are a professional presenter or an individual looking
to develop presentation skill, the NJ/IABC is your opportunity to
bring communications content to the spotlight. Present your ideas
to the Programming Chair
for consideration by the Board.
IRIS
Awards
- Our main event of the year, the IRIS Awards competition involves
many small, and some not so small, components. From Call for Entries
to distribution to other chapters for judging, notification of winners
and coordination of awards - not to mention the gala itself, IRIS
offers so many opportunities to participate.
Communications
- There's always room for writers! Before an event and after an
event, we need people writing press releases, brocures, or Web content.
So why not express yourself and show off your capabilities at the
same time by writing for the NJ/IABC.
Serve
on the Board
- This level of commitment and dedication is both appreciated -
and available! With high visibility to over 300 communicators in
the NJ area, you have a real opportunity to demonstrate your capabilities
and develop leadership and relationships.
