NJ/IABC Board of Directors is a working board, meaning that it gets
involved in the aspects of the chapter events - particularly programming/professional
development. Board members are expected to assist in efforts to
develop, staff and/or promote programs.
Chapter
Fundraising/Sponsorships:
Board Members will be expected to solicit members and industry vendors
for contributions to the organization during the chapter's annual
sponsorship month as well as on an ongoing basis.
Recruitment:
Board members should talk up the association among co-workers and
industry peers and encourage involvement. Board members should assist
in updating the chapter's new-member prospect list by providing
names of prospective members to the VP of Membership and our Chapter
Administrator.
Succession
Planning:
Board members should help identify active committee members who
will be able and interested to assume the responsibilities on the
Board.
