of Programs
Programs
are created based on input from our members. If you have an idea
for a program, or would like to be involved in programming, please
speak up!
The
NJ/IABC is a dynamic communications association that services 300
professionals in state of New Jersey. We are a statewide organization.
Board Meetings: Board meetings are
held the second Tuesday of every month. Board members are encouraged
to attend all meetings. The meetings start at 5:30 with dinner and
the business session usually starts at 6 p.m. Meetings last between
2 - 3 hours. If you are interested in joining the Board and would
like to sit in on a meeting, contact our President.
Chapter
Events:
NJ/IABC usually holds its chapter events on the third Thursday of
the month for consistency. There will be exceptions (i.e. IRIS is
the last Thursday in January). Board members are encouraged to attend
each program, network with members and promote involvement. If you
would like to be involved with Programming, please feel free to
contact our Volunteer
Chair.
-
TGIT Our
"Thank Goodness It's Thursday" casual events are held about 7
times a year and provide an opportunity for members and non-members
to participate, network and learn about a topic. TGITs
usually
run from 6 - 8 p.m. Attendees are invited to actively participate
and enjoy appetizers at minimal expense.
- Quarterly
programs
can run from a 2 hour lunch to a full day seminar. Length and
cost varies by topic and speaker. Held
in March, June, September, and December, quarterlies are seminars
or workshops that delve into a particular communications topic.
- IRIS
Awards Ceremony
Our
premier annual event where we honor the best communicators in
New Jersey. Participating entries are solicited each September.
Entries are judged on a strict communications criteria where each
must stand on its own merits.
Celebrated the last Thursday in January.
